Head of Strategic Alliance (Indirect Sales, Retail, e-tail, Affiliate Partnerships, App-Stores)

Your responsibilities

The Head of Strategic Alliance is responsible for identifying indirect sales opportunities as well as representing and selling MAGIX's products and services to all assigned market segments and accounts that are reached through indirect sales channels. The position is based at our head office in Berlin, Germany.

Primary responsibility:

Reporting directly to the Executive Board, the candidate will be responsible for driving the growth of MAGIX's indirect business in all channels. Focused on creating growth through our strategic partners and affiliates, the selected candidate will inspire, lead and develop a multi-national and culturally diverse top-class team of Regional Managers and over 30 sales staff in Europe, North America and Asia. The candidate will have the clear mission to carry the performance of this established and growing team to the next level.

A proven sales management heavyweight, the candidate will also coach the Regional Managers to drive sales and service performance by setting high standards, implementing best practice, developing winning commercial strategies and regularly delivering hands-on coaching of the team while ensuring all channels within a partner's organization are trained on product offering and positioning. A charismatic and inspiring leader, who may well already be a in a respected position and looking for a new challenge, the selected candidate will enhance MAGIX's reputation in the market. The candidate will be financially responsible for all indirect sales orders and revenue, ensuring satisfaction of partners and end-users, and directly managing all indirect sales and indirect sales operations, while drawing support from a large cross-functional team.

Your profile

  • University degree (BA/BSc.), MA/MSc. or MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years experience with international channel sales/account management, particularly with master accounts and agent programs with a particular focus on online channels.
  • Strong sales and commercial negotiating skills proven by considerable experience of personally negotiating, solution selling, and closing sales with international clients in IT, software and/or telecoms.
  • Proven experience in managing retailers, e-tailers, affiliates and partnerships, including App stores.
  • Strong account management, organization and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain key relationships with senior level individuals.
  • Outstanding leadership skills with experience in leading multi-national sales teams and reporting at Executive level.
  • A committed self-starter who has the drive to succeed in a high-energy environment.
  • Ability to learn quickly and troubleshoot issues independently.
  • Strong target-focused and collaborative work ethic.
  • Exceptional and effective communication skills (oral and written) in English and German essential, knowledge of another European language is a plus.
  • Must be prepared to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally.
  • The position is based at our headquarters in Berlin, Germany.
