MAGIX Video Pro X6

Set To Make A Major Impact In The Big League New native 64-bit application with optimized production setup

02/13/14

The Video Pro X series from MAGIX has always been on the cutting edge of video editing technology and the latest addition is no exception. With the release of Video Pro X6, MAGIX presents the greatest evolutionary advancement since the inception of the series. Great effort was taken to adapt the entire code structure from 32-bit to 64-bit to meet the high demands for performance and memory usage that have been become the standard in the field of professional video production. The result is the first native 64-bit application in the series - Video Pro X6.

But 64-bit functionality isn't the only major development in this new version. All aspects of the program have been optimized and streamlined for the professional production workflow. One highlight among the many new advancements is the expanded 4K support. Video Pro X6 supports a wide range of new camera formats and models  including HD consumer cameras (e.g. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or GoPro HERO3+), professional budget cameras (e.g. Canon EOS with Magic Lantern or Black Magic) and high-end devices such as the Canon EOS-1D or the Sony F series. No other software in its price class currently offers this kind of comprehensive 4K experience.

Video Pro X6 also offers the intelligent editing technology "Nested Sequences". This feature enables video sequences to become objects which can be used in other movies  and is particularly useful when working on large, complex projects. Changes to the sequence are immediately applied to the corresponding objects in all positions.

Another major development is the addition of four new measuring instruments. The Vectorscope, Waveform Monitor, Histogram and RGB Parade guarantee users the precise control they've been craving. These must-have tools make it possible to limit the dynamic and the color saturation of broadcast areas as well as correct exposure problems and color errors. GPU optimization means that all of this can be done in realtime with up to 4K resolution. The effect section in Video Pro X6 has been completely redesigned and all the most important video effects have been GPU-optimized. The new HDR effect enables dynamic adjustment to create a look just like HDR photos thanks to realtime GPU calculation and Full Motion. The audio section has also been expanded with the inclusion of the wind and rumble filter and the Mastering Suite 4 with improved design and handling.

Many other improvements to the details ensure a more effective workflow than ever before. These include optimized handles for image size/positioning, the new Ease In/Ease Out function for each keyframe, the Qualifier for precise positioning and much more.

MAGIX also includes full versions of the 64-bit external plug-ins Mercalli V2 from proDAD for effective image stabilization and the comprehensive effect package Magic Bullet Quick Looks 1.4 from Red Giant.

MAGIX Video Pro X6 is available now for €399.99 (RRP) online and in retail stores.
