"We thank Klaus for his substantial contribution to the success story of MAGIX," says Jürgen Jaron from the MAGIX Advisory Board. Alexander Graat, Chairman of the Advisory Board adds, "With him, the company has evolved into a globally active company for professional audio and video solutions with software-as-a-service representing a contributing factor. We wish Klaus all the best for his new phase in life and are pleased that he will continue to actively support MAGIX in an advisory capacity."

Under Schmidt's leadership, MAGIX significantly expanded its international business while increasing the share of sales from professional applications to more than 50 percent. In 2016, Schmidt began to realign the company by acquiring the software division of SONY (SCS). In addition, he strategically expanded the product portfolio by establishing joint ventures and partnerships.

"For seven years, I had the privilege of accompanying more than 300 people at MAGIX on our mission: to develop integrated, high-end video and audio solutions for creative professionals worldwide. In addition to our growth, we have achieved sustainability goals: MAGIX has been climate neutral since 2021 and actively supports the UN Global Impact Principles," says Klaus Schmidt. "I am handing over the baton to Denis Burger in the coming weeks and leave with great gratitude for this team. I am confidently placing MAGIX's fate and that of its unique employees in his hands. Denis has my full support in this."

Denis comes to MAGIX from Native Instruments, where he served as CMO. He has a strong track record of developing and implementing growth strategies and has a passion for developing the best solutions and experiences for content creators worldwide. Prior to Native Instruments, Burger held key positions at GetYourGuide and eBay. He started his career in management consulting. At Boston Consulting Group and as Partner at Oliver Wyman, Denis advised technology, telecom, and media companies in strategy, growth acceleration and transformation.

Denis explains, "MAGIX's product portfolio, international presence, and shift to the subscription business provides a strong foundation to continue driving innovation and market success. I am thrilled to drive further profitable growth and bring Magix to the next level. Being an electronic music producer myself, I am passionate about providing the creative community with great products and an optimal customer experience, enhanced by data-driven operations."

"We are very pleased to welcome Denis Burger as the new CEO of MAGIX. Together with Jan Gackenholz as CFO-COO, they form an outstanding team with great experience in leading software companies," says Jürgen Jaron. Alexander Graat adds, "Denis Burger's previous career has given him exactly the right experience and skill set to successfully drive MAGIX's growth trajectory."
