MAGIX Video Pro X2 offers a flexible user interface which can be adjusted to any working situation thanks to savable window layouts. Both preview monitors can be enlarged to fullscreen and moved around, e.g. to use multiple monitors more effectively. Even the project folder, the timeline, and the Media Pool can be scaled and moved as separate windows.

MAGIX Video Pro X2 now features a 3-point cut function that makes inserting video clips into the timeline even easier.

Choose a position in the arrangement where you wish to insert a clip. Then simply add a start position to the file you want to import. The computer automatically calculates the cut points and precisely fills in the gaps in the timeline.

Up to nine simultaneous camera recordings of events like weddings, concerts, or theatrical performances can be synchronized in MultiCam editing mode. Change the perspective in real-time with a simple mouse-click.
Absolutely unique on the market: time-consuming and manual synchronization of video recordings using visual and sound events is finally a thing of the past. The Multicam editing function automatically synchronizes video objects on the basis of their audio material. For this, their soundtracks are compared for similarities. If videos come from the same recording environment, the same acoustic events will be found on their soundtracks (e.g. clapping the clapper board).

The integrated title editor allows you to change the size and position of text at any location in the image to create impressive title animations. Production of numerous scrolling and blending effects is especially easy with the help of a range of practical presets, e.g. for captions or subtitles.

The keyframe editor enables extensive control over video effects in two steps: Quickly access object-based effects settings in the Media Pool and precisely edit Bézier curve control on the timeline directly as required.

The 3-way color correction function features color wheels with shadows, median values, light, and professional exposure control according to the lift, gamma, and gain principles. Smooth out color errors, highlight naturally present colors, or create a dramatic effect.

MAGIX Video Pro X2 features a new comparison mode, which allows you to check your video material before and after editing. This way you can always keep track of your effects editing.

The integrated alpha channel support of AVI files in MAGIX Video Pro X2 enables import of sequences from compositing programs like Jahshaka or After Effects™. Photoshop files with multiple layers can also be imported directly into MAGIX Video Pro X2 projects.

You can add various video effects plug-ins to the comprehensive effects palette of MAGIX Video Pro X2. The following plug-in formats are supported: "VirtualDub", "VitaScene", and "Adorage" by "proDAD". The 1/25 second raster in video editing programs is often too rough for audio editing. MAGIX Video Pro X2 features sample-exact audio object editing (e.g. 1/48,000 s) for precise cuts, transitions, and video image synchronization.

MAGIX Video Pro X 1.5 supports audio formats, which correspond to the High Definition  standard from Intel. This means that stereo signals at a sampling rate of 192kHz with 32-bit and 8-channel signals at a sampling rate of 96kHz  with 32-bit may be used.

MAGIX Video Pro X2 features a direct video upload function to the Internet portal YouTube™, enabling video content to the published online as quickly as possible. Videos are uploaded in H.264 format in the best possible image quality – in HD resolution too.

MAGIX Video Pro X2 features several visually appealing templates for creating DVDs which you can manually adjust according to your needs. Customized menus can be saved as templates. You can also create individual DVD menus from the movie material of a project.

Extended MPEG-2 settings provide full control over the image quality.
