MAGIX Releases the New Video deluxe 2026 and Video Pro X17

The latest generation of the software range introduces AI-powered media management and more features for creating subtitles.

03/06/25

Just in time for the start of the vacation season, Berlin-based software company MAGIX presents the latest version of its successful entry-level video editing program, Video deluxe 2026, and the new generation of its video editing software for advanced video enthusiasts, Video Pro X17. Both software products boast new AI features designed to aid users in the categorization and organization of their footage, as well as new highlight and export features for AI-generated subtitles.

With Video deluxe 2026, MAGIX has made it even easier for creative individuals to enter the world of video editing – regardless of their experience level – with the added help of practical AI features. For those looking to take their creative video editing one step further, Video Pro X17 provides a familiar but much more versatile environment. It features the same workflows coupled with advanced tools for color grading, audio editing and more to provide amateur filmmakers with everything they need to take on ambitious video projects.

As Product Owner Kay Dittfurth points out, the global media landscape is shifting globally. The so-called "amateur video scene" in particular is growing rapidly and evolving constantly, thanks to easily accessibly technologies and huge online target groups. "As we continue to develop Video deluxe and Video Pro X, it is particularly important to us to provide users with a stable, powerful environment they can rely on, one that doesn't get in the way of new ideas, but inspires them," adds Dittfurth. "We introduce new AI features where we know they will add real value, such as providing the ability to sort video material automatically or to work intelligently with subtitles. Our goal is to enable creativity – not to complicate it."

New Features at a Glance

AI-powered media management and automatic categorization

Using local AI models, the program scans the user's media to sort their pictures and video clips into different categories, such as people, animals and landscapes. Video footage is automatically trimmed, and clips are sorted into their appropriate categories. A video containing people at the beginning and landscape shots at the end is trimmed and sorted so that the user finds the first part of the video under the "People" category and the second under "Landscapes". This makes it possible for users to create finished movies in even less time.

Highlight spoken words in subtitles

Subtitles have become indispensable for short-form media such as Reels and Shorts. This feature can be enabled with a single click, and the subtitle text can be edited as before with blur and background shadow effects. This not only helps make content more accessible, but has also been shown to boost follower engagement, as most short-form videos are often watched with the sound turned off.

Export subtitles

User-created subtitles can be exported as transcripts to be used in a variety of ways, including closed captions on YouTube. This way, videos containing segments in a foreign language or a mix of different languages are always correctly subtitled, even on different platforms.

Exclusive add-ons from leading manufacturer proDAD

Video deluxe 2026 Premium includes the proDAD VitaScene V5 Pro effects package with over 1,700 high-quality effects and filters for color correction, transitions and looks. Video Pro X17 buyers can look forward to Hide V2, which allows them to remove unwanted objects and people from their video material.

Latest Editions Get Massive Update

The release of these two products in June will be accompanied by a full update of the extra content available for Video deluxe Ultimate and Video Pro X Ultimate. Both software packages will include the latest V2 proDAD plugins, including Hide, ReSpeedr and Disguise. Video Pro X17 Ultimate will also include proDAD's ProDRENALIN V2 and Chroma Key Studio by Boris FX. Another new addition is the Ultimate Content Packages, which will provide users with additional video and audio effects and songs. Vouchers for stock downloads and creating voiceovers and subtitles are included as well.

Movie Studio Becomes Video deluxe

Following its decision in 2021 to switch VEGAS Movie Studio over to the technology behind the Video deluxe product line, MAGIX is now unifying these brands worldwide. As a result, Movie Studio will now be available under the product name Video deluxe 2026 both inside and outside of the European Union, as the two product brands are already identical in terms of the content they provide. This marks the final step in integrating the VEGAS Creative Software (a MAGIX brand) line's former entry-level product into the Video deluxe family. For customers, this helps to draw a clear line between MAGIX software applications that are most suitable for hobbyists and those that provide professional-level video editing.
