Release: VEGAS Pro 23

VEGAS Creative Software (www.vegascreativesoftware.com) today announced the launch of VEGAS Pro 23 and VEGAS Pro 23 Suite, the latest versions of its flagship professional video/audio editing, color grading, VFX, and cloud-integrated content creation platform.

Building on the performance breakthroughs of VEGAS Pro 21 and 22, the development team has officially named its advanced processing architecture the VEGAS Core Engine. The engine delivers unmatched performance across modern editing workflows and gives VEGAS Pro users smooth preview playback that makes working in the timeline even more enjoyable and efficient than before. VEGAS Pro 23 focuses on GPU-accelerated color grading and enhanced color space management, a streamlined rendering experience, and new timeline-integrated VFX animation tools all within a modernized user interface.

The VEGAS Core Engine: Peak Playback Performance

The VEGAS Core Engine in version 23 introduces DirectX-based GPU acceleration for color grading and a redesigned DX-based image pool for faster frame transfers which eliminate costly copy steps and enable butter-smooth editing, even in complex multi-track projects.

Tightly Integrated Tools for Color Grading and More

A reimagined Color Grading Panel now functions as a familiar dockable window for completely flexible workspace layouts. The tightly integrated, natively developed tools in VEGAS Pro 23 enable single-screen workflows with an always-accessible timeline that provides direct access to all important tools and functions. Users never need to interrupt their creative flow because they never have to switch between clumsy modes for editing, color grading, audio work, or other important operations. Enhanced controls, ACES 1.3 support, and new Samsung Log & Apple Log camera LUTs ensure precise, professional-grade color reproduction even with footage from mobile devices.

Integrated Timeline Keyframe Animation

Event and track FX (OFX) envelopes (released in beta) enable users to work directly in the timeline with familiar editing techniques that provide precise and efficient effect animation and keep them in their creative workflow. Creators can set and adjust animation keyframes and control the transitions between keyframes with in-place envelopes and Bézier curves to ensure smooth animation.

• Enhanced File Management: Visual indicators in the Unified Explorer show which files are already used in the project.
• Enhanced trial experience: In line with common market practice, the VEGAS Pro 23 trial supports real-project evaluation. Exports are 720p with balanced audio, the former two-minute project cap is removed, and Text-to-Speech/Speech-to-Text are available on a limited basis.
