Sequoia Pro 17
The engineers' choice

Comprehensive broadcast suite
for radio and podcasts

For broadcasters, efficient time management is crucial. Sequoia Pro allows you to preview, cut and arrange material at any point while a recording is still running. This means you can prepare live concert recordings while they are already being broadcast to a media station.

Broadcast CMS
and automation systems

Broadcast CMS

The interface in Sequoia Pro guarantees seamless workflow integration, whether you're working on a news or feature production or a larger multi-track project. Productions can be imported and exported from any workstation at the press of a button.

All audio material and Sequoia Pro projects are saved on database servers. Automatic backup and deletion routines maintain data integrity at all times. Incremental and differential saving results in reduced network load and saves a ton of time. Only project changes are saved, instead of complete projects.

Import/export of ISRC in Broadcast Wave files

Export in broadcast wave files compliant with EBU Tech 3352 is possible. ISRC information is written into the wave file during export with the setting "Each CD track in a file". ISRCs for wave files are displayed and can be edited in the Broadcast Wave Manger. CD indices that include the respective ISRC and will be used for burning or export can be set automatically using the function "Set track indices on Object Edges". During CD import as single wave files, the BWF ISRC information is written into these files. There are also various display options for ISRC in objects.

Auto Ducking

Auto Ducking

Match background music and voice-overs with precision. This dialog-based tool manipulates volume curves and lowers the music level as soon as a someone begins talking on another track. Edits are made using the volume of the audio material in the source track and can be applied to multiple target tracks.

Cue mode

Cue mode

Cue mode is a special live playback mode often used for special cue sounds in radio broadcasts and theater. You can play back objects contained in the cue mode track in sequence while a recording is taking place in another track simultaneously. For recording radio dramas, for example, you can record a speaker and seamlessly integrate noises and pre-produced elements as script calls.

Playback, editing and export during recording

Live productions rely on the flow of real-time information. Sequoia Pro enables you to listen to your material at any point while a recording's still running, and to cut and arrange objects in the project and export existing material.

Network dongles

Network dongles

Each CodeMeter dongle can make its network licenses usable on other workstations. Sequoia Pro offers network dongles that distribute any desired number of licenses within a network, so they can be accessed from any workstation. This greatly simplifies processes for firmware updates and upgrades.

User administration

User administration

Sequoia Pro can be set up for different users with customizable presets, e.g. individual keyboard shortcuts, color settings or crossfade presets for each user. These can be easily transferred to one or more computers or accessed remotely via a network login, which makes it much easier for administrators to set up workstations.

Advanced licensing

You can activate Sequoia Pro 17 via a license on a hardware-based dongle or a software dongle. Hardware and software dongles are license containers for activating the software.

1. Hardware dongle

A 3rd generation dongle is required. This dongle works using hardware copy protection. The advantage of a hardware dongle is that it allows for easy transfer from one computer to another.

2. Software dongle

In addition to hardware copy protection, there are electronic non-hardware containers that offer the same options as hardware dongles. The advantage of a software dongle is that it is simple to use, and can be used immediately without a hardware dongle.

License properties

1. Network licenses

Network licenses in Sequoia Pro 17 are designed to allow multiple users to access the software in a networked environment. This is particularly useful for collaborative projects in the studio or in broadcasting companies. This technology allows for licenses to be flexibly managed and distributed within a networked environment, without individual users needing a physical dongle.

2. License borrowing

License borrowing in Sequoia Pro 17 lets user temporarily "borrow" a license digitally from a central server. This is particularly useful in situations where a user needs to work offline or outside the primary network and needs access to the software without an internet connection. The advantage of license borrowing is that this form of license cannot be lost.
