MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 2013
Video editing: Editing a movie using raw material
The concept of video editing stands for a process that produces a personally edited movie using raw material from a video camera.
The filmed material, which may include digitized video from old VHS cassettes, is edited at home on PC with corresponding software so that individual sequences are cut to the desired length, placed in the proper sequence, or simply removed.
Video editing and other editing options
A program like MAGIX Movie Edit Pro edits the filmed raw data (also in HD video quality, of course) and adds effects so that a presentable film may be exported with the correct codec. The ultimate goal of editing video material to produce a film that is suitable for presentation to one's peers, friends, and family. Removal of shaky scenes, shortening of recorded sequences, and highlighting with stylistic music all has one purpose: To make the final product more interesting for potential viewers. This may also be achieved via the digital white balance, which normalizes the color temperature of the filmed material. If multiple cameras have been used (e.g. at a wedding reception or family celebration), then multiple videos may be processed via multicam editing.
